In late November 2015, Instagram announced that they were shutting off API access for platforms that used the API for anything except:

  • Help individuals share their content elsewhere (on anything other than Instagram)
  • Help brands and advertisers understand and manage their audience, content and licensing (the Instagram partner program*), or
  • Help broadcasters and publishers discover content, manage licensingand embed posts.

For anything other than the uses above, they're cutting off access. This includes feed reader/browsing services.

A few people have asked if Schedugram is affected, The answer is no.

We don't use the Instagram API - we use our unique system with physical devices to post your images or videos. For more about how we work, see the article about it. As a result, things don't change for us, although it has changed some of our planned roadmap activities (the priorities of things we'll deliver next) as a result, as it's unclear how long they will take to review new applications or clear the large backlog they'll probably have.
